I’m hardly a hothead. But in some cases it is necessary to make a statement and Google’s announcement to pull the plug for H.264 support in the Chrome browser is something that gives me a hard time to live with. I mean, how am I supposed to watch an H.264-encoded video through a Flash-player plug-in? Come on, Google!
And although Chrome used to be my favorite web browser for quite a while now today I decided to pull the plug.
But wait, instead of just dragging the thing into the trash I shall use the fantastic AppCleaner for the job. This app makes sure that not only Chrome but all its accompanying preferences and settings are gone for good. Works like a charm, not only for web browsers fallen in disgrace ;-).
Goodbye, Chrome. Welcome back, Safari!
