One of my favorite pet peeves about Instapaper used to be the fact that according to the website articles in the archive could not be displayed in the Text view, at least not in the browser (and thats how I use to read most of the time). Thats not a big deal but sometimes little details can make a difference.
With read later this issue has gone away. All articles in the archive can be perfectly rendered in the Text mode.
But read later doesn’t stop at the ability to go text view on the archive, it also allows for configuring the reading experience to a large degree. For example, it is possible to use any1 font available on the local machine. Also, the text width can be controlled in fine-granular steps.
I wish I had discovered this earlier.
